Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently being held at the Special Housing Unit in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn until his next court appearance on Wednesday afternoon. This unit is separate from the general prison population and is typically used to house inmates who require additional protection or for other specific reasons.
Several high-profile individuals, such as R. Kelly, Sam Bankman-Fried, and Ghislaine Maxwell, have also been temporarily held at the MDC in the past.
Combs is set to appeal the decision to hold him without bail in front of US District Court Judge Andrew Carter on Wednesday. If the appeal is unsuccessful, Combs will be remanded back to the detention center.
During the recent court proceedings, Combs was denied bail and will remain in custody as he faces charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, as ruled by a federal judge. His legal team has indicated that they plan to appeal this decision. Additionally, Combs entered a plea of not guilty to the charges brought against him.
