It’s been a long journey for Seahawks strong safety Jamal Adams, but he’ll be back on the field soon. The team just announced that Adams has passed his physical, clearing him to come off the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
Since coming over in an ill-advised trade with the Jets in July 2020, Adams has appeared in 25 games for Seattle – and he has also missed 25 due to a wide variety of injuries. The latest was a torn quad that Adams suffered just one quarter into the 2022 season against the Broncos which kept him on the sidelines for the rest of the year.
Adams is not expected to return to practice right away. He will join his teammates for walk-throughs, though. The first will likely come tomorrow ahead of Seattle’s preseason game on Saturday against the Packers.
