Seattle Seahawks fans are going to like hearing this. The first player taken by the team at No. 9 overall was Mississippi State OT Charles Cross to help Seattle’s ailing offensive line.
Given his lofty draft position, there will understandably be a lot of pressure on Cross to be a reliable anchor years to come. Fortunately, he seems to have found the perfect mentor in the greatest Seahawk of all time: Hall of Fame left tackle Walter Jones.

Originally the No. 6 overall pick in the 1997 draft, Jones played 13 years in the NFL on his way to Canton. Jones started all 180 games he played and only surrendered 23 sacks on 5,500 passing downs. Even more impressive were the nine total holding calls he had during his career.
Having one of the greatest offensive linemen to ever play the sport in your corner is quite the way to learn the game for a young rookie.
