Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf recently learned that an opponent’s son is a big supporter of his, and the fifth-year pro’s reaction was pure class.
After the Seahawks’ 29–26 victory over the visiting Commanders on Sunday, Washington tight end Logan Thomas told Metcalf that his 15-year-old son is a huge fan of the Seahawks wide receiver. Upon hearing the news, Metcalf took the jersey off his back, signed it and handed it to Thomas to give to his son. The heartwarming moment between Metcalf and Thomas was caught by NFL Films.
“Hey, I know it might not mean nothing but my son … big fan. He’s 15. Built just like you, bro. Keep doing your thing bro,” Thomas told Metcalf.
“Appreciate it,” Metcalf replied. “You can give this one to him. Give this one to him,” Metcalf reiterated, before the film cut to him signing the jersey and giving it to Thomas.
