The Seattle Seahawks have announced three roster/practice squad moves heading into tomorrow’s season opener against the LA Rams.
Here’s a quick review of today’s transactions.
1
Elevated from practice squad: CB Artie Burns
First things first, veteran cornerback Artie Burns has been elevated from the practice squad. He was probably the toughest cut the team made when they trimmed the roster down to 53 men. Burns had a brilliant preseason, posting the highest Pro Football Focus grade on the team. He shined especially in coverage, posting a 90.5 grade there.
2
Elevated from practice squad: LB Jon Rhattigan
Inside linebacker Jon Rhattigan has also been elevated from the practice squad for this week’s game. Rhattigan has appeared in a total of 19 games over the last two seasons, putting in time exclusively on special teams.
3
Placed on injured reserve: RB Kenny McIntosh
The Seahawks also placed rookie running back Kenny McIntosh on the injured reserve list. He suffered a knee/leg injury during the team’s mock game about one month ago. Seattle is down to just three running backs on the depth chart: Ken Walker, DeeJay Dallas and Zach Charbonnet.
