The Unite trade union has vowed to continue its fight for recognition at Seagate as job loss fears continue to hang over workers at the Derry site.
Speculation has been mounting in recent days on how the hard-disk manufacturer's "restructuring" plan will impact the factory where over 1,000 workers are employed in Derry.
Unite, meanwhile, have been seeking official recognition following a "member-led" organising campaign over the past six months at the site in the Springtown area of the city.

Politicians in Derry are demanding an urgent meeting with the management of Seagate, one of the city's largest employers, amid the speculation about possible job losses.
The Mayor, councillor Sandra Duffy, has demanded a cross-party meeting with the company.
In a statement, Unite regional secretary Susan Fitzergald said her union would campaign for Seagate members with or without recognition from the company.
"Unite won't stop until we win union recognition at Seagate, but the company should be clear that we don't need a piece of paper for us to fight with and for members on all and any issues in their workplace," she said.
Last month, a Seagate spokesperson said the company's priority "remains to maintain a respectful workplace where each employee can make an informed decision."
The spokesperson added: "While we respect the choice of an individual to join or not join a Union, we believe a direct dialogue with our employees will lead to further success for all.
"The Company recognises the importance of continued relationship building with all its stakeholders. The NI facility at Springtown is central to Seagate’s global operations and our highly skilled staff continue to be at the heart of the Seagate business strategy, positioning NI operations as a world leader in nano-manufacturing."
Earlier this week, the company said it will not "speculate" on "any numbers of positions" but confirmed a "global restructuring plan" is in progress.
