Sea Power: Naval Combat in the Missile Age puts you in the command chair of tense aerial and naval combat encounters

FGS.

Sea Power: Naval Combat in the Missile Age looks to be the next evolution of real-time strategic warfare, and it's out later this year on Steam.

As part of the Future Games Show at Gamescom Presented by Sid Meier’s Civilization® VII, developer Triassic Games showed off its upcoming real-time warfare simulation. Hostilities have broken out in central Europe, and Sea Power: Naval Combat in the Missile Age lets you take control of either NATO and Warsaw Pact forces for sea and sky domination.

Tense confrontations and scenarios abound in Sea Power. In one mission, you might be racing against the clock as the US Navy, battling off Soviet bombers and submarine attacks to make it to beleaguered NATO forces in time. Meanwhile, in the Norwegian Sea, a depleted Soviet force might be tasked with holding the line against a rapidly encroaching swarm of US ships.

Obviously, even the best-laid plans can rapidly fall apart, and situations in sim games can escalate rapidly in mere minutes. Your rapid thinking, as well as redeployment of forces like gunships, submarines, and carrier ships, looks like it's going to make all the difference between emerging triumphant in naval combat, and crushing defeat to your foes.

Sea Power: Naval Combat in the Missile Age is developed by one of the lead devs on 2017's smash-hit submarine sim Cold Waters, itself a spiritual successor to the 1988 strategy game Red Storm Rising. There's years of expertise in naval warfare being brought to bear in Sea Power when it hits later this year in fall 2024 on Steam.
