Scratch that travel itch at Japan Remix: Sugoi Hokkaido

If you miss Japan but can’t get away from Thailand, all you need to do is make your way to BTS Phrom Phong in Bangkok.

Emporium and EmQuartier have joined forces with Aeon Thana Sinsap for their annual Japanese festival, "Japan Remix", which runs from May 18-21. Staying true to the theme "Sugoi Hokkaido", EM District will be transformed into Hokkaido, Japan's second largest island, in the summer, when it is blooming season.

The four-day event features an array of food and activities that will have your travel itch scratched. Tempt your tastebuds with the Sugoi menu at Quartier Avenue on the G floor of EmQuartier, where Hokkaido delicacies from more than 30 Japanese restaurants are on offer. Dining promotions are also available at Mugendai Penthouse, Aka Yakiniku, Hokkai-Don and Maisen.

Strike a few poses in a traditional yukata at EMjoy, on the 2nd floor of EmQuartier. The space will be decked out in a photogenic setting with decorations that amp up the kawaii ambience. Head over to Quartier Cineart for the Japanese Film Fest screening beloved anime, including Lupin III: The First, Your Name, Stand by Me Doraemon 2 and Over Drive.

Aeon credit cardholders, as well as customers who sign up for membership during the event, can reap perks from participating vendors, restaurants and activity booths, including a ticket to the “Greatest Japanese Comedy Show”, which premieres on May 20 at Imax Theatre.
