Scottish teen singer left in tears by adorable note from youngster super fans next door

A teen singer from Fife has shared the heartwarming moment she was surprised by an adorable note from two youngster super fans next door.

Anna Mcdermid, 18, from Kincardine, was left in tears after a sweet act of kindness from two doting kids who were sneakily watching her sing in the garden.

During the sunny weather this week, the ex-Dunfermline High School pupil was singing in her homemade recording studio in the garden when she saw two cute faces peaking over the fence.

The teen decided to keep on singing and didn't think much of it until her mum let her know there were two children on the front drive waiting excitedly to give her a letter.

Speaking to Edinburgh Live Anna said: "I just left school and I'm planning to do music business at Glasgow Kelvin College after the Summer.

"I also do songwriting in my own time and I have music on major streaming platforms like Spotify and YouTube. My music has been streamed in 101 countries including Italy, Switzerland and USA."

She continued: "I was in my music studio which is still in progress and I do a lot of singing in there when I have time and it was a nice day and I thought I would sing some cover songs.

"My amp was turned up and I was singing away and I noticed some kids looking and listening to me over the fence at the side of the garden but I just kept singing.

"When my mum came home she phoned me to go round to the front garden as there were kids up the driveway to give “the girl who was singing” a letter.

"I came round and the kids were telling me how wonderful I was and I was going to be a superstar."

The cute letter reads: “To Anna, me and my little brother think your singing is amazing. You are a superstar. If you sing more often it would make my day”.

The young music buff was blown away by the kind act and left crying tears of happiness.

She explained: "After they went away, I cried happily because it felt like a confidence boost and I’m happy I got recognised by some local people."

Finally, she added: "This was such an amazing moment. It is lovely to be nice to people as it doesn’t cost a thing."
