A SCOTTISH route has been named one of the best road trips in the world for 2025.
The new study includes trips from around the globe, including stretches of road in places like Florida and Germany.

Scotland was named the seventh-best road trip in the world by InsureandGo.
The Highland Tourist Route inStarting in Aberdeen and finishing in Inverness, the route is around 116 miles long and takes around three hours to complete by car.
The journey includes a number of fascinating and exciting sites, including Culloden Battlefield, Fort George, Cawdor Castle and Glenlivet Distillery.
Discussing the findings, CEO at InsureandGo Chris Rolland said that road trips are a "fantastic" way to explore a country.
He added that while there are many routes worldwide that are already "celebrated" for being some of the planet’s most picturesque, they were curious to discover which ones are "jam-packed" with exciting landmarks and attractions.
He said it was also "interesting" to see so many UK road trips ranking so highly alongside iconic routes.
