- Scottish football star Graham Carey announced on Wednesday that his partner has passed away following a battle with breast cancer.
- Carey’s partner, Rachel Borthwick, died at the age of 37 on Sunday 22 March.
- Mum-of-two Borthwick was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer back in September 2021.
- She passed away over the weekend in Delhi, India after travelling to Asia for further medical options.
- Carey, an Irish footballer who plays for Scottish Championship club Dunfermline Athletic, paid tribute to his partner as he posted on social media that “our babies will always remember how unbelievably strong and brave you have been until the very end”.
