Scottie Scheffler suffers another near miss at 3M Open as 21-year-old star storms to victory

  • Koivun confidently fended off world number one Scottie Scheffler, finishing with an impressive 25-under 259 total, surpassing Lee Hodges' previous record of 24-under set in 2023.
  • Scheffler, despite a strong 63, had to settle for his fourth runner-up finish this season, while Hideki Matsuyama, Brian Harman, Chandler Phillips, and Denny McCarthy tied for third.
  • Koivun's win earned him £1,186,000 and propelled him 124 spots up the FedEx Cup standings to 70th, placing him just above the cut-off for the playoffs with two regular season events remaining.
