Scott McTominay scores crucial Serie A goal for Napoli

Scott McTominay was back on the scoresheet for Napoli last night in what was another crucial Serie A goal for the Scotland international.

The midfielder tapped home from close range after a well-worked corner by the away side at the San Siro against Inter Milan.

McTominay and fellow Scot Billy Gilmour started the match in Milan, as Antonio Conte's side moved clear at the top of the table with the 1-1 draw.

The former Manchester United player has Napoli in the lead after 23 minutes when he stroked home.

However, Hakan Calhanoglu equalised for the hosts before the break but later missed a penalty as he fluffed his lines and both teams settled for a share of the spoils.

Napoli moved a point clear of rivals Atalanta, Fiorentina, Inter and Lazio with the stalemate.

That's now two goals and one assist in nine Serie A games for McTominay, as he continues his fine form abroad since moving from Old Trafford on deadline day.

He will join up with his international teammates today as Steve Clarke's side gets set to face Croatia on home soil this Friday night, before the trip to play Poland a week tonight.
