Scotland's talisman Scott McTominay has emerged as a shock transfer target for a major Serie A rival of his current club.
The midfielder, 28, joined Napoli last summer after leaving Manchester United.
He's gone on to become a firm fans' favourite in Naples working under manager Antonio Conte.
They have been involved in a title battle from the get-go this season.
They sit second in the table, three points behind Inter Milan, while they are three points ahead of Atalanta.
However, it has emerged from reports in Italy that Napoli's direct rivals want to sign McTominay.
According to Fichajes, Inter holds a 'strong interest' in the Scotland international.
It's said they will make an attempt to push a deal through this summer.
However, Napoli have no intention of letting McTominay go, with the seven-goal man contracted until 2028.
The report states Napoli would only consider an offer it it was 'compelling'.
