Scott Brown has raided Celtic to snap up midfielder Scott Robertson.
The duo know each other from their time at Parkhead with the legendary skipper reuniting with his former team-mate. The Cod Army fought off interest from a number of English clubs throughout the pyramid to land his signature on a two-and-a-half-year deal. He comes with over 50 top team appearances attached to his name including European experience after featuring against CFR Cluj in the Europa League.
Brown has hailed his capture as a fantastic signing for Fleetwood Town and has praised Celtic by labelling them as 'brilliant' in the negotiation process over the midfielder. He told Fleetwood's official website: "He's a fantastic signing for the club and I'm delighted to get it over the line. I knew him from my time with Celtic and have had the opportunity to see him grow as a person and a player over the years.

"I'm sure he'll be great for the club. Both myself and Scott have a bond with Celtic and they were brilliant to deal with throughout the move."
A club statement read: "Fleetwood Town are delighted to announce the signing of talented young midfielder Scott Robertson from Scottish Premiership side Celtic on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
"The Cods had to fight off teams throughout the Football League pyramid for the signature of the midfielder, who has already managed to accrue more than 50 professional appearances in his career, including one in the Europa League for the Scottish champions against CFR Cluj.
"Robertson, who spent time at The Bhoys with our head coach Scott Brown, already knows the English Football League well as he has spent time at Gillingham, Doncaster Rovers, and Crewe Alexandra, but will now move forward with the Cods."
