A Lanarkshire mum has embarked on a huge renovation project after spending quarter of a million pounds on a derelict 15th century castle.
Work is underway on Nicole Rudder's £5million 'dream' plans to transform dilapidated Garrion Tower near Wishaw into a luxury wedding venue.
"I had to go home and tell my husband I’d bought a castle and he wasn’t too pleased at first," the 32-year-old told the Daily Record after splashing the cash on her dream project in secret.
