Scots DJ Ewan McVicar sparks rumours of Ayr hometown gig with teasing message

Scots DJ Ewan McVicar has sent fans wild after sparking rumours of a hometown gig.

The Tell Me Something Good star from Ayr has sent fans wild after sharing a teasing pic of Ayr's Low Green.

The image came hours after the DJ told fans he would be announcing his 'biggest dream come true' soon.

Fans were left puzzled by what the big announcement could be with some suggesting it would be another slot at a major UK festival.

Ewan further teased fans telling one he was "coming hame" in a reply.

Today the DJ gave away another massive clue when he simply tweeted a picture of the famous Low Green with the iconic Ayr Pavillion in the background.

The white turreted Ayr Pavilion once hosted rock legends Iron Maiden as an all-purpose gig venue. The spot later became famous for being the rave centre of the town as club Hanger 13.

The building is now used as children's amusement centre Pirate Petes.

One fan joked that Ewan is going to bring back Hanger 13.

They said: "Announce turning Pirate Pete's into Hanger 13 for one night only."

The producer who returned to his Kincaidston roots with EP Heather Park earlier this year honed his skills playing to punters in the towns clubs and bars.

His back catalogue includes a track 'Back Tae Ayr' another nod to his Ayrshire roots.
