Scots dad dies from cancer weeks after honeymoon following shock diagnosis

A Scots dad who complained of a "sore side" while on a dream honeymoon trip to Las Vegas and Mexico has died just two months after he was given a shock cancer diagnosis.

Alan Fraser, from Glasgow, passed away on October 3, aged just 39. He had returned home from the holiday of a lifetime with wife Myra in July after the pair tied the knot in 2021 but had their honeymoon postponed due to Covid.

Alan complained of having a sore side while relaxing in the pool in the USA. The pair thought it might have been a hernia - but never dreamed the dad-of-two was suffering from a cancerous tumour in his stomach.
