Scots charity opens world's first children's operating room in Kenyan refugee camp

A SCOTTISH charity has opened a children's operating room in a refugee camp in Kenya in what is thought to be a world first. 

The facility in Kakuma, Kenya, was set up by the charity Kids Operating Room (KidsOR), which delivered and installed more than 3000 items of equipment and surgical tools to provide safe surgery at the site.
