A 24-year-old woman created an online profile as a prostitute so she could catfish married clients and blackmail them into sending her cash. Bespectacled Lauren Hunt got her hooks into a number of clients and threatened to expose them to friends and family if they didn't pay up.
When the terrified victims tried to block her online, she simply created a series of new profiles to continue targeting them for ransom money. And Dundee Sheriff Court was told that two of her three victims were so scared of being outed that they allowed her to empty their bank accounts.
Hunt - who has no previous criminal record - placed her details on Dundee Craigslist and offered to provide 15-minute sex sessions to customers in the city. Fiscal depute Joanne Ritchie said: "On 9 September MM was feeling low and decided to look for the services of a prostitute.
