Scotland wind weather warning with up to 70mph gales and rain today in grim forecast

A wind weather warning has been issued by the Met Office for western Scotland.

The rest of Scotland faces a dark and stormy day in stark contrast to last weekend's sunshine and cloudless weather.

In force from 6am to 11am today, the Met Office warned of severe gales up to 70mph moving quickly across the Western Isles on Wednesday morning.
