Ange Postecoglou has accused Grant Hanley of committing the "ultimate sin" as he failed to play offside against Morocco.
The centre-back attempted to step out and catch Ismael Saibari offside in the second minute of the Group C World Cup fixture.
But the Moroccan forward was clearly onside and made no mistake as he hammered home the opening goal after just 70 seconds, the quickest strike of the tournament.
Dissecting the nightmare start to the match, former Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou suggested the Scotland players were still settling into the match when they suffered the early goal.
Postecoglou said: "They didn't start as we thought they would with a back five.
"They looked like they were still finding their feet a little bit.

"What happened in the end is they all got attracted by the ball, left centre-back drifted away, and you'll see Grant Hanley probably commits the ultimate sin of playing offside and putting his hand up rather than following the runner."
Roy Keane commented: "Scotland lads on their heels, Hanley taking a gamble. Shocking start."
Duncan Ferguson added: "You don't play offside there, just go with the runner.
"Don't let the guy get off your shoulder. You must go with the runner."
