Scotland's Covid hotspots listed by neighbourhood as high rates persist

Covid cases in Scotland remain at high levels although infections have been falling since Omicron peaked in January,

The number of Covid cases are still elevated in most of the country as most Omicron restrictions are being relaxed.

Out of Scotland's 32 council areas, all but six are reporting the highest rates - 400 cases per 100,000 people.

Aberdeen, Falkirk and Dundee account for the top three Covid hotspots in Scotland, according to the latest figures from Public Health Scotland.

The lowest case levels can be found in Shetland, Orkney and Na h-Eileanan Siar.

The Scottish Government has reversed many restrictions enacted in response to skyrocketing Omicron cases, including closing nightclubs and distancing requirements in indoor venues.

Nicola Sturgeon 's latest update on Tuesday announced Scotland's work from home guidance will end January 31.

Further, Scotland will drop pre-arrival Covid tests for fully vaccinated international travellers on February 11.
