Scotland powered to a 2-0 win over Georgia on Tuesday evening despite the risk of waterlogged conditions threatening to disrupt their Germany aspirations.
Goals from Callum McGregor and Scott McTominay either side of half time put the eastern European outfit to the sword, but it wasn't without controversy. Just six minutes into the tie, McGregor had scored - but twice Angus Gunn had already been caught out by the ball slowing down in the water and, as a result, the referee hauled the players off.
Initially, the referee wanted the game to start up again at 8:30pm, but a mixture of a waterlogged Hampden pitch, more downpour and even a Georgia refusal to come back for the restart meant the tie kicked off at 9:30pm - almost two hours after the original commencement.
But regardless, it means that Scotland have now taken 12 points from their four games, and with one more win, they could secure their tickets to Munich, Dortmund and beyond for a second European tournament on the bounce. Glasgow Live looks at how the players rated.
Angus Gunn - 7
Naturally shaky start for Gunn with the water impacting two balls that came his way, but he didn't really have much to do for the rest of the first half.
Aaron Hickey - 8
Wonderful technically in the opening stages of either side of the restart. Lively defender who is only going to get better with Premier League and international experience to come. Booked.
Ryan Porteous - 6
Not much to do; Georgia had a few shots, but they were all pot luck efforts from the edge of the area. Had his work cut out by Erling Haaland on Saturday but the Watford man coasted to a more comfortable performance today.
Jack Hendry - 6
Similar to Porteous. He was tasked with watching the runs of Georgia man Georges Mikautadze, and generally did really well as he limited the in-demand youngster to nothing.
Kieran Tierney - 8
Another outstanding performance from the Arsenal man. Overlapped and swapped well with Robertson, and his crossing was dangerous for the Georgia defence to deal with.
Andy Robertson - 8
Captain fantastic. Dealt with the delays well, and interchanged with Tierney in that left centre-back and left wing-back role. Doesn't allow for any nonsense and that's a huge reason as to why Scotland are top of the group. Booked.
Callum McGregor - 8
Took his goal well despite the conditions. Just a third goal in Scotland colours for the Celtic man. Linked the midfield very well and it was as easy a performance for him than you would ask for - including games at club level.
Scott McTominay - 8
Much better performance than the one in Norway where he was, by large, quite ineffective. Went close with a superb effort on the stroke of half-time, and exuded more control than he did in Scandinavia with a class finish just after the break. Scotland's midfield could be one of the best in Europe, bar the elite nations, on its day.
John McGinn - 8
Quickly becoming, if not already, Scotland's most important player. Sets a precedent with the Scotland press, ideal in a triangle when breaking out of the Georgian press and has absolute boundless energy. One of those players in football that you simply cannot hate.
Billy Gilmour - 7
Was quite the shock to see him come into the fold for Ryan Christie, but his ball retention in the deep-lying position down the middle meant it was difficult for Kvaratskhelia to find any space for a counter attack. Another decent cameo for the youngster, and a great move from Steve Clarke.
Lyndon Dykes - 6
Came close with a header just after the delay. Looked generally lively throughout but couldn't quite capitalise on the crosses sent his way by the Scotland contingent.
Subs
Ryan Jack - 4. Did well to keep a tired midfield compact.
John Souttar - 4. Kept Scotland in with the chance of a win.
Kevin Nisbet - 4. Didn't have anything to do up top.
