President Donald Trump has held off from firing Jeanine Pirro as U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, despite angrily declaring she had “choked” in her handling of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool case.
Pirro filed a motion to dismiss criminal charges against Olympic athlete David Hearn Friday after the Trump administration admitted that damage done to the D.C. landmark’s recently-installed blue liner, part of a troubled $14 million overhaul, was “the result of flawed installation by the contractor,” not the work of a saboteur.
