Mikey Johnston impressed many people after coming off the bench to make his Republic of Ireland debut on Wednesday night.
The 23-year-old Celtic winger, who is currently on loan at Vitoria Guimaraes in Portugal, played a key role in the winning goal as Ireland won 3-2 at the Aviva Stadium.
Johnston, making his first appearance for Ireland after switching allegiance from Scotland, broke free down the left and fired against the foot of the post, and Chiedozie Ogbene pounced on the rebound to score what turned out to be the winning goal.

Johnston was denied a goal of his own six minutes from time when he carved his way through the Latvia defence, but saw his shot repelled by defender Marcis Oss’ brave block.
Many were impressed with what they saw by Johnston, but not too many Scotland fans were among them.
Supporters of the Tartan Army questioned the level of opposition, as well as Johnston's previous form when playing for Celtic.
One wrote: "Latvia (ranked 133rd in the world) at the Aviva. Winning by a solitary goal. Amazing!"
Someone else commented: "Its Latvia ffs, the international equivalent of Kilmarnock."
Another post read: "But he can’t do it on a cold rainy night in …. Any town in Scotland. He’s not good enough for Celtic he had years and years worth of chances."
