A romantic man from Scotland flew 5,000 to America after mistakingly thinking his Tinder match was from Edinburgh.
Patrick Campbell, from Stirling, took the journey to Chicago after matching with American Bridget Kelly.
The Scot, who suffered a love split earlier this year, mistakingly thought Bridget was from Edinburgh before realising his error.

However the pair soon formed a romantic connection and now Patrick has shared their journey on TikTok.
The Daily Record reports how the pair regularly Facetimed each other and realised just how much they had in common despite being on opposite sides of the pond.
Despite never actually meeting in person, Bridget took the first step and invited Patrick to a wedding just a few weeks in to talking.
In his TikTok, Patrick explains: "Back in January of 2022 after Covid, I fell out with my partner at that time - long story into that one.
"But I moved on after that and joined Tinder which is one thing I have never used before and I have never had Snapchat in my life at 32 years old.
'So I joined Tinder a couple of months later after using the app. I got a message from somebody I thought was very bonny, very pretty.
'I swear it looked like she was from Edinburgh, which really confused me but she isn't.
"Turned out she was from America - 4,700 miles away in Wisconsin in a place called New Glarus.'
Showing his social media followers that he had decided to accept Bridget's request, he panned the camera to his suitcase.
Concluding his video he said: 'It's f*****g insane. It's absolutely crazy that this is happening but yeah."
Leaving from Glasgow on Monday, May 16, 2022, Patrick travelled via Dublin to Chicago and from there on to Bridget's hometown.
Bridget then shared the moment that the pair first met at the airport for the first time and hugged on her own TikTok account.
The video shows them embrace and smile as they greet each other. Bridget later posted a compilation of them touring Chicago.
She captioned the clips: 'easily the best date I have ever been on' as the duo were seen laughing hand in hand as they walked through the city.
The new couple met after Bridget used the feature Tinder Passport as she had wanted to meet a Scottish man such as Patrick.
This allows you to search by city or drop a pin on the map and begin liking, matching and chatting others in a specific place worldwide.
Commenters on both theirs TikTok were overwhelmingly supportive and positive about the romantic gesture.
One person wrote under Patrick's clip to "be safe" and another added "Class lad. All the best."
Another user said: "New Glarus! No wonder you two just showed up on my FYP. Bless you both."
