The main road through Scone was closed for an hour and a half on Monday night when a car flipped over onto its side blocking both sides of the A94.
Police, paramedics and fire crews were called to the scene following reports of a two car collision in a 20mph zone.
Multiple emergency vehicles attended the location outside houses and shops, a short distance from Perth.
Fire crews had to cut the driver from the wreckage.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 9.01pm on Monday, March 21 to reports of a road traffic collision on Perth Road, Scone involving two cars.
"Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene, where crews assisted a female casualty before handing her into the care of paramedics.
"Firefighters left after making the area safe."
Police said the driver of a Ford Focus, a 76-year-old female, collided with a parked Mazda outside shops and homes.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 9pm on Monday, March 21, to a report of a Ford Focus colliding with a parked Mazda on the A94 near Scone.
“The Ford rolled onto its side and blocked both carriageways.
“Emergency services attended and the driver was checked over before being taken home.
“The road has since reopened.”
