Scientists exploring Superhabitable Worlds that could be twice as massive as Earth with more water and a cooler sun

Scientists are exploring the possibility that some planets beyond our solar system could offer better conditions for life than Earth. These so-called superhabitable worlds could be larger than our planet, have more water and feature extensive island chains that support diverse ecosystems. Researchers believe such planets could provide environments where life might survive and evolve for billions of years longer than it can on Earth. According to The New York Times, scientists are particularly interested in larger planets orbiting orange-hued stars which are cooler and smaller than our sun and may offer some of the most promising conditions for life.

What are superhabitable worlds?
