A 14-year-old schoolboy has been arrested after a man was stabbed in east London and found in a nearby shop allegedly screaming for help.
The man, reportedly a teacher, fled to a nearby chemist shop after the attack in Forest Gate on Tuesday.
A witness who works at the pharmacy told the Daily Mail: "He ran inside and said, 'Help! I'm a teacher at the school and I've just been stabbed.'
"There was blood all over the floor. He had been stabbed in the back."
A Met spokesperson said: "Detectives are investigating following a stabbing in Newham.
"Police were called at about 5.25pm on Tuesday, January 30 to reports of a man stabbed in Woodgrange Road, E7.
"Officers attended and found the victim, who is aged in his 40s, inside a shop nearby. He was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service. His injury was not life-threatening.
"A 14-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the incident. He was taken into custody where he remains."
