Schools across India may follow different schedules on Thursday, October 22, 2026, as festive vacations for Dussehra and Durga Puja continue in several states. While some schools are expected to resume classes after the holidays, others may remain closed in accordance with their respective academic calendars.
There is no nationwide directive confirming a school holiday on October 22. The reopening dates depend on state-level vacation schedules and individual school notifications, meaning students in one state may return to classrooms while those elsewhere continue their festive break.
