School Holiday Tomorrow, August 14, 2026: Several parts of India are likely to experience active monsoon conditions on Friday, August 14, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting widespread rainfall and heavy to very heavy showers in several states. This has left students and parents wondering whether schools will remain closed tomorrow.
However, an IMD rain alert does not automatically mean a school holiday. School closures are generally announced by the respective state government, district administration, education department or individual school authorities, particularly when heavy rain creates risks of flooding, waterlogging, landslides or unsafe travel conditions.
