A rescue centre has issued an urgent appeal for a sensitive and shy bulldog in its care, as she struggles to cope without a home and family of her own.
Matila the bulldog is just 21-months-old and has already been surrendered to a shelter, lived in a foster home and stayed in kennels.
Staff at Helping Yorkshire Poundies describe young Matilda as friendly, lovable and excitable - but say she can be very panicky and nervous.
Charity volunteer, Sarah Dobbs, said: "Matila is really not coping in kennels at all and desperately needs help.

"She did move into a foster home, but found the move very stressful and overwhelming and couldn't settle, so in everyone's best interests, she came back to kennels."
Matilda will bark at objects that scare her and has even been spooked by a tape measure.
She needs to be shown that the world isn't a scary place to be.
When Matila does feel panicked, she becomes more boisterous and can jump and nip, before calming down and realising that she is safe.
"We need to find Matilda a calm, understanding owner that will support her during her initial stress and panic," Sarah said.
"She is an absolute litter cracker who will come on in leaps and bounds in the right home."
Matilda can potentially live with a larger male dog but not cats.
She previously socialised well with children, but given her current stressed state, she cannot be rehomed with kids.
Sarah pleaded: "Please consider helping Matilda if you can. We have contacted other bulldog specific rescues in the hope they may have a suitable foster home for her, but unfortunately as is the case around the country, they have no room."
Another dog desperate for a place to call home is Gillyweed, who currently sports an adorable blue leg cast.
Gillyweed, or Gilly for short, was taken in by Jerry Green Dog Rescue in South Lincolnshire as a stray - and is now ready to move in with new owners who can provide him with the attention he deserves.
The one-year-old has recently undergone surgery to treat his "poorly leg" - and has a blue cast on it to help him heal.
A spokeswoman said: "He is a quiet boy that loves living up to the typical lurcher lifestyle."
