Scant Rain in Brazil Boosts Arabica Coffee Prices

December arabica coffee (KCZ24) today is up +1.60 (+0.63%), and Sep ICE robusta coffee (RMU24) is not trading today, with markets in the UK closed for a holiday.

Arabica coffee is moving higher today on scant rainfall in Brazil.  Somar Meteorologia reported today that Brazil's Minas Gerais region received 0.6 mm of rain or 8% of the historical average last week.  Minas Gerais accounts for about 30% of Brazil's arabica crop.
