If you find a suspiciously cheap copy of a book you’re after on Amazon, look carefully before adding it to your basket – you may end up with a glorified notepad instead.

The Standard found a number of high-profile books cloned on the site with the same artwork and title, undercutting the real version and available via Prime delivery.
