- Actor Dennis Haskins, best known for playing Principal Richard Belding in the hit sitcom Saved by the Bell , has died at the age of 75.
- His agent Jay Schachter announced his death on Tuesday, adding: "He was my client and dear friend for over 20 years, and I will miss him terribly."
- Haskins starred as Mr Belding from 1989 to 1993, later reprising the role in the spin-off series Saved by the Bell: The New Class for a further seven years.
- His screen career also included roles in television programmes such as Mad Men, New Girl , and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia .
- Schachter did not disclose the cause of Haskins’ death. He is survived by his son, Dustin Haskins.
