Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, discussed with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Saturday relations between Riyadh and Berlin and opportunities for partnership between them.
Scholz was in Jeddah on a one-day visit to the Kingdom on Saturday.
Talks with the Crown Prince also tackled aspects of cooperation and opportunities to develop it according to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
Crown Prince Mohammed and Scholz discussed regional and international developments and efforts exerted to achieve international peace and stability.
They also exchanged views over several issues of common interest.
Crown Prince Mohammed conveyed to his guest the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
Crown Prince Mohammed and Scholz also met with Saudi and German businessmen.
The meeting was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy; Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Cabinet's Member; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior; Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard, Minister of State; Cabinet's Member, National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban; Minister of Commerce and Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi; Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid Al-Falih, and Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan.
Scholz is on a two-day tour of the Gulf. His second stop was the United Arab Emirates, where he landed on Saturday. He is also expected to travel to Qatar.
