Saoirse Ronan Marries Co-Star Jack Lowden In Secret Ceremony

Saoirse Ronan To Star In The Outrun At EIFF

Saoirse Ronan, known for her role in Mary Queen of Scots, recently tied the knot with her co-star Jack Lowden in a secret ceremony. The couple, who met on the set of the historical drama, exchanged vows in an intimate affair in Scotland. The wedding took place at the Edinburgh Central Registrar's Office, with only a few close friends in attendance, all sworn to secrecy.

Ronan portrayed the Queen of Scots in the film, while Lowden played Lord Darnley, her second husband. Their on-screen chemistry blossomed into a real-life romance, which they managed to keep private for some time. Speculation about their relationship grew when they were spotted looking close at a film screening in 2018.

Following their collaboration in Mary Queen of Scots, the couple worked together on the film The Outrun, which they both produced. The movie, based on a memoir by Scottish author Amy Liptrot, premiered at Sundance and explores themes of rehabilitation and finding solace in nature.

Ronan and Lowden share a home in Islington, North London, along with their terrier named Fran. While they have largely kept their relationship out of the public eye, Lowden occasionally shares glimpses of their life together on social media.

Rumors of their engagement circulated after Lowden posted a photo from a hiking trip featuring an engagement ring on Ronan's hand. Subsequent sightings of Ronan with the ring further fueled speculation about their relationship status.
