Customers of Santander have been left fuming after "technical problems" saw online payments delayed. Payments in and out of accounts have been affected by the issues overnight and into this morning.
On Thursday night anybody logging on to Santander's online services was greeted with an error message. It has meant that payments such as wages have not landed in some people's accounts, while others have complained of not being able to pay bills on time, reports the LiverpoolECHO.
It led to many customers complaining about the problems via social media. One said: "Finally my wages have gone in but a standing order hasn't left my account." Another added: "I have bills to pay and I will be getting charged if I don’t pay on time. This is ridiculous. Compensation is necessary."
