Sandra Bullock says she no longer felt 'like an insane person' about a mysterious sighting over St Martin after reading government files on unidentified aerial phenomena which, in her view, appeared to mirror what she saw and gave her the confidence to talk about it publicly for the first time.

The actor said the documents seemed to support an unexplained incident she kept private for years while filming on the Caribbean island.
