Samsung Neo QLED and OLED TVs bring the cinema home

Samsung

If you’re in the market for a bigger, better TV that delivers a cinema-quality experience at home, look no further than Samsung’s latest Neo QLED 4K, Neo QLED 8K and OLED models.

With futuristic displays that bring every detail to life, intelligent AI processing, and immersive Dolby Atmos 3D sound, Samsung’s 2023 line-up will help you make the most of visually-stunning streaming content such as The Mandalorian.

Better still, for a limited time, you can claim up to £500 cashback on selected Samsung 2023 TVs and enjoy 6 months of Disney+ on selected models*. Not sure where to start? We’ve selected three great options…

Samsung Neo QN800C QLED 8K TV

This high-end 8K TV delivers Samsung’s most detailed picture yet thanks to the ultra-high density of Quantum Mini LEDs (lights roughly the size of a grain of sand). Each light is controlled with intense precision to create gorgeous inky blacks, exceptional contrast, and lush colours.

The QN800C also benefits from a cutting-edge Neural Quantum Processor 8K. Samsung’s most intelligent AI-powered processing chip acts as the TV’s brain, automatically optimising each individual scene. More importantly, it upscales 4K content to glorious, true-to-life 8K resolution, so you can enjoy movies and TV shows in the best possible picture.

Want to bring the sound of the cinema home? Eight built-in speakers deliver object-tracking Dolby Atmos sound, meaning that when a helicopter flies overhead in a blockbuster movie, it will feel like it’s actually flying over you!

The QN800C is available now at Currys in three sizes: 65-, 75- and 85-inches.

If you want to go big then the QN90C could be just the ticket. It’s available in a range of sizes up to 85-inches. The Neo QLED 4K display is powered by Samsung’s Quantum Dot tech and promises a naturally bright picture and vivid colour that wows – whilst remaining faithful to the director’s intent.

Samsung’s Neural Quantum Processor 4K – effectively the TV’s brain –  uses 20 neural networks to unleash the full power of 4K. It learns scene-by-scene, automatically optimising things like brightness and contrast to enhance objects and voices. Naturally, it upscales both standard and high definition content to stunning 4K picture quality. Nice.

Love gaming? The 43-inch and 50-inch versions of the QN90C support refresh rates up to 144Hz**, so they double up as state-of-the-art gaming monitors (the larger models top out at 120Hz***). As for sound, eight speakers built-in to the four sides of the TV will make the most of Dolby Atmos 3D soundtracks.

Lastly, it’s worth knowing that the QN90C is the most affordable model with Samsung’s Ultra Viewing Angle with Anti-Reflection Screen technology. This means you shouldn’t have to bother closing the curtains when indulging in a mid-day gaming or movie marathons.

The QN90C is available now at Currys in six sizes: 43-, 50-, 55-, 65-, 75- and 85-inches.

Samsung OLED 65S95C

The S95C – Samsung's flagship OLED for 2023 – is even brighter and more beautiful than its predecessor, the five-star S95B

The new kid on the block but it promises “limitless contrast” and naturally bright colours thanks to Samsung OLED with Quantum Dot. From picture-perfect blacks to leading brightness levels, you should expect a lifelike image with remarkable depth.

As ever, Samsung’s Neural Quantum Processor 4K learns scene-by-scene, taking picture quality to the next level – and upscaling your content to 4K quality where possible.

One of the most strikingly thin TVs ever made, the majority of the chassis of the S95C is just a couple of millimetres thick. It’s all thanks to Samsung’s latest One Connect box, which lets you ditch messy cables in favour of one brilliantly slim cable that runs to the TV – perfect for wallmounting.

Naturally the S95C supports next-gen gaming features, including 4K/120Hz (144Hz for PC)**, VRR and ALLM across all four of its HDMI inputs. That should make for ultra-smooth 4K gaming, even at lightning-quick speeds.

And with Dolby Atmos sound and Samsung’s Object Tracking Sound Plus tech to keep you at the heart of the action, you’re guaranteed the best seat in the house.

The S95C is available now at Currys in three sizes: 55-, 65- and 77-inches.
