Sam Fender captured the mood of many Newcastle United supporters with a 'perfect' and optimistic reaction to Sunday's defeat from inside Wembley.
A massive Toon fan, Seventeen Going Under star Sam headed into London on Saturday night and he and his bandmates joined thousands of others for the Geordie takeover of Trafalgar Square. The North Shields singer took to Instagram to post a video of his saxophone player, Johnny Bluehat performing an impromptu rendition of Hey Jude as fans around them sang along.
And, after all the excitement and epic scenes in the centre of the capital, Sam headed to Wembley to see Newcastle take on Manchester United in Sunday's Carabao Cup final. Sam was lucky enough to be in one of the plush executive boxes at the famous ground from the occasion, sharing his cracking view of the pitch with fans on Insta.

Sadly for Sam and the many other NUFC fans who travelled to London this weekend, the result didn't go their way., with Man United winning 2-0. But, just like plenty others, including the ones who waved their black and white flags high and proud as the final whistle blew, Sam was optimistic in defeat.
Sharing a shot of the sea of black and white close to where he and his friends were sat, Sam wrote: "We've come so far," a sentiment echoed by Magpies supporters across the land, who, just over a year ago, would never have dreamed of making a cup final and looking good for a place in Europe in the league.
Sam has a huge date with St James' Park in a few months time, when he plays two sold out gigs at the ground of his beloved football team. Tickets for both shows sold out as soon as they went on sale, with Sam describing the chance to play on the SJP pi5tcvh as 'a dream come true.'
