Sam Fender fans vent over 'numberless queue' as they race to nab pre-sale tickets

Sam Fender's fans were left “stressed” as they scrambled to secure pre-sale tickets for his UK stadium tour next year.

The Geordie singer-songwriter, who recently released his third album People Watching, had announced initial dates at the capital’s London Stadium and Newcastle’s St James’ Park earlier this month.

His gig in London next year will be the biggest crowd of his career to date.

Ahead of the general sale on Friday, fans who pre-ordered the 30-year-old’s album from his website before Monday received special codes for access to the pre-sale on Wednesday at 9:30am.

However, even with the codes, many fans were left feeling "anxious" as they struggled to secure tickets through Ticketmaster and See Tickets.

Taking to X/Twitter to share their frustration, one fan penned: “Sam fender presale queue being numberless is probably the most anxiety inducing thing i've ever experienced.”

“no number in the sam fender presale queue is diabolical im so stressed rn,” another fumed.

A third shared: “no number on the queue of the sam fender presale is heartbreaking”.

“god knows where I am in the queue for sam fender presale WHY would you make it numberless,” a fourth commented.

Despite their disappointment, fans can try their luck again as the general sale kicks off on Friday, November 29 at 9:30am.

Fender’s third studio album, People Watching, is set to be released in February, 2025 - and off the back of it’s release he’s being tipped as potential headliner for next year's Glastonbury Festival.

Before then, the Seventeen Going Under hitmaker is set to perform two dates at London’s 02 Arena next months as part of his tour of the same name.

It kicks off on December 2 in Dublin, before heading to Leeds, Manchester, London on the 10th (his first gig in the city since headlining Finsbury Park in 2022), Birmingham and Glasgow.

He’ll finish off on December 20 with a gig in his home city of Newcastle.

Next spring, Fender will be heading to Europe and headlining shows in Paris, Tilburg, Zurich, Cologne, Munich, Bergamo, Berlin and Amsterdam, before finally finishing in Brussels.

Fender has grander ambitions, however, and in 2025 will also be playing stadiums.

He will play London Stadium on June 6 and then two dates at St James’ Park on June 12 and 14.

CMAT and The War on Drugs have been announced as support acts - although the latter for the first and third shows.
