#Maryland CB Deonte Banks, who has had meetings or visits with nearly every team, ends his tour with the #Bills today, source said. He's also visited the #Saints, #Commanders, #Titans, #Vikings, #Raiders, #Texans, #Giants, #Bucs, #Eagles, #Jaguars, #Bears, and #Steelers.

Add another one to the list of reported New Orleans Saints pre-draft visits. Maryland Terrapins cornerback Deonte Banks made the trip to New Orleans for a formal visit at the team facility per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Banks is a projected first-round pick and posted a perfect 10.0 Relative Athletic Score for his efforts at the NFL Scouting Combine, though he didn’t complete the agility testing New Orleans values so highly (which is also the case for many of the prospects they’ve flown into town).
Banks nails the physical prototype the Saints look for at 6-foot-0 and 197 pounds, with 31.3-inch arms and terrific lower-body strength. He started 21 of the 30 games he played at Maryland, missing most of the 2021 season with a shoulder injury, while collecting 83 tackles and 13 pass breakups, but just two interceptions. He can get turned around by craft route-runners and he was a bit of a penalty magnet last year (drawing 8 fouls) when his aggression got the better of him, but there’s a lot to work with here.
