The College of Saint Rose's women's basketball team, led by coach Will Brown, has achieved remarkable success in their first NCAA Division II tournament appearance in 13 years. Despite leading the country in points allowed per game and field-goal percentage defense, the team faces an uncertain future as the school is set to permanently close due to financial difficulties.

Coach Brown, known for his previous success coaching men's basketball, took on the challenge of coaching women's basketball this season and quickly turned the team's performance around. The Golden Knights, with a 21-6 record, have defied expectations by earning the No. 3 seed in the East Regional tournament.
