Sainsbury's has announced it is cutting the prices of 40 products by up to 60%. All are dairy items, including yoghurts and cheese.
It comes after Tesco kicked off the dairy price wars by reducing the price of milk. Asda, Lidl and Sainsbury’s all followed - with Sainsbury’s going on to cut the price of some butter and bread products.
The latest price cuts are all on Sainsbury's own brand dairy goods. Last week Sainsbury's announced all its own label value ranges would soon come under the same brand, Stamford Street.
