Sir Sadiq Khan has revealed for the first time details of a row with Rachel Reeves that reportedly resulted in the Chancellor “kicking him out of her office”.

The London mayor attempted to downplay the scale of the row by insisting that he had “never been thrown out of anybody’s office” after being asked whether the incident was akin to an EastEnders-style bust-up.
