Rylan Clark has clapped back with 'gay love' after he was seen shirtless in a snap with his 'new man'. It's not quite as it seems though and appears to have become a bit of a running joke that the BBC Radio 2 presenter has found love with fellow TV star Robert Rinder.
It was one of Rob's social media updates that got tongues wagging as the pair jetted off to Italy to film a new TV show. It was announced last month that Rylan and Rob, known to many as Judge Rinder, will join forces to front a brand new BBC travel show.
The three-part BBC Two series will see the pair follow in the footsteps of the romantic poet Lord Byron and English aristocrats who took on the Grand Tour, a classic trip through Europe popular in the 18th and 19th centuries.

But it has appeared that Rob has been causing problems for his new TV partner. He took to Twitter with a gorgeous snap showing the two stars standing in what appeared to be the Italian countryside. The views spread for miles while Rylan and Rob stood facing each other under the bright sun beating down on them, both while sporting crisp white shirts and trousers.
"Elton’s set at Glastonbury has inspired us to tie the knot. I [heart] @Rylan," Rob typed alongside the snap on Twitter as fans rushed to share their congratulations with some believing the nuptials to be true. However, those wanting it to be real, were sadly disappointed as Rylan, 34, himself replied and confirmed: "Fake news he’s had a wine."
Then last week, Rylan was forced to address the situation when he made a brief return to the UK. The former Strictly It Takes Two host said: "Someone just congratulated me on the street….. To clarify I am not engaged to @RobbieRinder."
And now, as he travelled back to Italy with Rob where they are now filming in Rome, the pair were seen in a fresh snap in which Rylan appeared shirtless as he looked slightly concerned toward the camera while Rob smiled and leant his head against his bare chest. Tweeting the picture, Rob wrote: "'I'm so glad we made it, look how far we've come my baby'. All the way from Brentwood. @Rylan."
Rylan simply replied: "FFS," while Rob shared a laughing emoji, clearly enjoying keeping the joke of their 'relationship' going. But it didn't impress every one after Rylan's pal and former The Apprentice candidate Thomas Skinner reshared the post and said: "Congratulations. So happy for these two. Looking forward to the wedding. Can the twins be flower girls? @Rylan @RobbieRinder?? Bosh."
After a follower said they were 'against gay marriage', Rylan hit back as he reshared the comment and said: "Two things, firstly- he’s my mate and it’s a joke, secondly - the fact you’re educating young people is laughable. Lots of big old gay love to ya."
And Rylan was quickly supported. @purplesteph1978 tweeted: "Love that you have to explain the joke!! Hehe. Sending you all the love, light and hugs in the world." @richcattell replied: "We’ve got you Rylan, the majority far outweighs this pathetic minority." @LadyFiLahLah posted: "Wow these people make me sick. Even if it was love, it is nothing to do with these hateful trolls. Spread the love and fun @RobbieRinder you two." @Ellekl added: "Would have loved if it was true about you both though."
