There are a number of things in life that are completely certain. Death comes to everyone at some point, taxes are unavoidable, and if you @ Ryanair on Twitter with a complaint, you're more than likely going to receive a witty response.
Not only best known for extremely cheap and cheerful flights, the Irish-founded travel provider is infamous for its razor-tongued social media admins - who take any opportunity possible to entertain followers with a bit craic.
And the company have been in flying form once again this week - responding with sass to a punter who believes they've figured out a clever way to avoid paying fees for extra luggage at the gate.
Currently, Ryanair allows travellers to carry one small bag with them per flight, but for an additional charge, people can opt to carry on more or have more luggage in the plane's hold. However, it can come at quite the cost - with a 20kg extra check in bag will set flying parties back up to £59.99.
But one person thinks that they've found a loophole, allowing them extra luggage on board without the hefty fees. Taking to Twitter - Bobbi Hadgraft, wrote: "Wearing these trousers next time I travel @Ryanair," attaching a photo of MJB's Lucio black recycled nylon amp trousers - which have an abundance of extra pockets.
But the Ryanair admins quickly clapped back, quote-Tweeting a photo of the product highlighted and it's price point. They wrote: "£1,280? Just pay for a bag, Bobbi."
And while you would be right to think that the statement left Bobbi speechless, she replied: "Currently have 15 flights booked on the app. This would be an investment."
Ryanair then cheekily went on: "Make it 16 and we'll treat you to them* *we won't actually."
The hilarious back and fourth left some social media users completely creased, with one writing: "Everyone at security missing their flights whilst he empties his zillion pockets," while another added: "Trousers of characters in games that have unlimited pistol ammo xD."
A third, went on: "It's an investment," while a fourth, wrote: "It’s a, erm, ‘strong’ look."
Days later, the admins were at it again, when @noomi126 took to the platform to write: "I’m gonna wear two jackets on my flight to Luxembourg so that I have options and Ryanair can’t charge me for extra luggage."
As quick and cunning as ever though, the company sarcastically responded: "How has no one thought of this before."
