Those looking for winter sun, or at least a winter break, will have two more choices as Ryanair has launched flights to another pair of European cities from Newcastle International Airport.
Flights are now on sale for Barcelona and Cork, adding to the budget airline's 19 other destinations available from Newcastle Airport. With flights taking off from November this year, passengers will be able to fly direct to Barcelona every Saturday and Tuesday, and Cork every Friday and Sunday until March 2023.
One of the most popular city break destinations in Europe, Barcelona is the capital of Spain's Catalonia region, known for its art, architecture, and food. Cork, the second largest city in the Republic of Ireland, is known as the country's food capital, while it's also a good starting off point if you're planning a road trip along the country's Wild Atlantic Way.
